About Pampuh
Small balls sprinkled with powdered sugar – it is a sweet symbol of a Christmas in Ukraine. It is hard to imagine Christmas without Pampuh (Donut). They could be different – sweet and without any sugar, with poppy seeds, jam or nothing, but always delicious.
On the Christmas Eve girls make fun on boys. They make some Pampuh’s with a surprise inside. It can be filled with salt, pepper, honey or even kopecks.
In Germany, Scandinavia and western Europe Pampuh’s or Donuts are known as Berliners wich You can find in every bakery or sweets shop. In Poland it’s called ponchky (pączki). Americanseat Donats almost every day with coffee or tea.
